Perman Wine Selections Friday Feature – 1/7/11

Hello and Happy Friday!

It is the start of the New Year and as usual I am excited to bring you another great year of wine selections!

I will do so with a more limited schedule. Perman Wine Selections is now closed on Sunday AND Monday. This will allow me more time to spend with my baby boy and wife. My hours from Tuesday to Saturday will remain the same.

As always I’m excited to share with you some new discoveries and you will see an upcoming newsletter very soon. Friday’s are all about singling out an exceptional wine, and this week is no different.

Most of you will find it strange that this Friday Feature involves a white wine. After all it is pretty ice cold outside. Yet I couldn’t resist telling you about this one-time limited offer that I took advantage of. At the end of the year some distributors are looking to make things go away, sometimes at prices well below their cost.

Such is the case with today’s wine from the great Sonoma producer, Patz & Hall. This is a delicious Chardonnay, in that richer / creamier style at a price that is almost too good to be true.

So if you find yourself craving a fuller, bolder style of Chardonnay, do not miss this insane deal!

Have a great weekend and Go Ducks!,

In just a little over twenty years the dynamic foursome of Donald & Heather Patz, James Hall, and Anne Moses have put together one of the most well-respected wineries for Chardonnay in California.

They work with some of the top growers in Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino to source their grapes. This wine comes from one of the most prestigious vineyards in the Carneros district of Napa called Hudson Vineyard. Named after Lee Hudson, who planted the vineyard in the 1980’s. Patz & Hall has a small four-acre block of the vineyard planted on Haire loam soils in high-density rows. The vineyard produces low-yielding fruit, and the fact that this is a cooler area within Carneros means that the wine is well balanced.

The reviews are in, with 91 or 92 Point scores from all the major publications like the Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, and International Wine Cellar. The most important critic, of course, is me – and I say this is really darn good!

This offer goes out to those that love a richer, dry style of Chardonnay from California. You won’t find a better wine for the price in this style anywhere else. Take advantage of this offer while it lasts!
