Introducing “Recent Recommendations” – A new forum to shop from Perman Wine Selections.
I get offers for thousands of wines each year, and very few make it to the newsletter. Many of those that don’t find their way on the newsletter are excellent wines that I would recommend. Since I don’t have time to write about them all, the solution for me is to create a very simple list, updated weekly in this section. These are wines that I have tasted or learned are available that are highly recommended.
To order, simply send me an e-mail with your request and I will fill it for you.
A note on pricing. All distributors work differently in terms of splitting cases and discounting wines. On my newsletters I always offer each wine from bottle one at the best price because in the instance that I only get a single bottle order, I will still bring in a case if required to get the lowest price. This means that your bottle one price is the equivalent of a case discount price.
Now that I am offering dozens of wines a week, I have to use a different system for those wines appearing on the Recent Recommendations page.
Since I don’t intend to become a large wine warehouse, in the cases where a distributor won’t give me a discounted price for a split case, I will include a bottle price, and a discounted case price next to the wine in question with a * next to it to make it easy to identify.
Please let me know if you have any questions. This will be a very valuable section to check frequently as some really great gems will go into it!
