The Wine Wire: Paul Bara Comtesse Marie de France

Seldom seen in the market, this is Paul Bara’s Tête du Cuvée, the 2000 Comtesse Marie de France. In the village of Bouzy, surrounded by many big negociants, Paul still produces wines from a mere 26 hectares, with a very personal touch. His seldom made, vintage dated “Comtesse” is always 100% Pinot Noir from a clay and limestone plot of 50+ year old vines. If you are a lover of sumptuous, Pinot Noir based Champagnes, this is for you. We have a  limited number of bottles.
