The Wine Wire: The Rarest Rosé

The rarest rosé on earth, from Lopez de Heredia’s spectacular vineyard, Viña Tondonia, on the banks of the Ebro River in Haro. The wine was made 4 times in the 1990s (1993, 1995, 1997 & 1998) and once in the first DECADE of the millennium. So 2000 is the current vintage. The blend is Tempranillo, Garnacha & Viura, aged for 4 & 1/2 years in American Oak barrels constructed at the estate. Savory and complex, this is like no rosé experience you have ever had. And it is definitely the only Gran Reserva designated rosé we know.
