Chicago Restaurants

Fat Rice

2957 W Diversey Ave

(773) 661-9170

Easily one of our favorite restaurants in the city, this Macanese-style restaurant combines the talents of co-owners Adrienne Lo and chef Abraham Conlon. Stop by The Bakery for amazing Pastel de Nata, sip on creative cocktails in The Lady's Room, and sample everything on the menu in the main dining room. The Perman-curated wine list has some of the most amazing Portuguese wines the city has to offer.

Billy Sunday

3143 W Logan Blvd

(773) 661-2485

Billy Sunday has long been home to some of the best bartenders in Chicago.  You can find an array of classic drinks, adventurous new creations, a deep library of vintage spirits.  After eating dinner at one of the many restaurants of Logan Square, stop by here for a nightcap, or two.

Red Hot Ranch

2072 N Western Ave

(773) 772-6020

Anyone that's been will tell you exactly how they order at this late night haven...but we recommend the double cheeseburger with fries and cheese sauce on the side! And don't worry, they're open until 5am on weekends (4am on weekdays), plus there's another location near Roscoe Village.

Table, Donkey and Stick

2728 W Armitage Ave

(773) 486-8525

A low-key neighborhood spot suited for the wine geek in all of us. Offering up seasonal fare from Europe’s Alpine region and a wine list to match, though they throw in some of their favorite wines from other parts of the world as well. They even have what they call “Terroir Tuesdays” where they feature a flight of special wines by-the-glass at wholesale cost every Tuesday.

3209 W Armitage Ave

(773) 252-0997

We love this place! They’re doing an array of comfort foods with a unique twist. They also have a stellar wine list to accompany your meal - wines you probably won’t see anywhere else (except in our store). And for a real up-close-and-personal look you can sit at the chef’s counter in the back and watch them work their culinary magic.

Lost Lake

Lost Lake

3154 W Diversey Ave

(773) 293-6048

Cocktail wizard Paul McGee serves up dangerously delicious cocktails in old-school tropical digs. You’re instantly transported to a Hawaiian tiki bar in the middle of Chicago. Drinks come in all shapes and sizes, even a giant volcano that can be shared, which always makes for a fun night.

Lula Cafe

2537 N Kedzie Ave

(773) 489-9554

Lula opened in 1999 and helped lead the farm-to-table movement in Chicago. The kitchen staff is self-taught and plates up seasonal dishes that are humble and definitely unique. This is a great place to dine solo with a good book, bring a date, bring the family, or just enjoy with friends.

Cellar Door Provisions

3025 W Diversey Ave

(773) 697-8337

Cellar Door Provisions doubles as a wonderful daytime café, transformed into a seasonal dinner menu by night that changes quite frequently to keep up with the shifts and fluctuation from season to season.  It has recently changed from being a tasting menu to a la carte in style, so you can really explore.  Stop by for brunch and enjoy their signature, homestyle quiche.

Dos Urban Cantina

Dos Urban Cantina

2829 W Armitage Ave

(773) 661-6452

Inspired by the boldness of Mexico, the menu created by husband and wife chefs Brian Enyart and Jennifer Jones Enyart is an original interpretation of Mexican cuisine that embraces contemporary flavors and ingredients. You'll find a great mix of fresh seafood, vegetables and meat to satisfy anyone at the table. And make sure you save room for dessert...

Osteria Langhe

2824 W Armitage Ave

(773) 661-1582

If you're into authentic Italian food and want a truly regional experience with traditional food and wine, you have to visit Osteria Langhe. Chef Cameron Grant's northwestern Italian dishes will transport you to Piedmont and the regional (and budget friendly) wine list that Aldo Zaninotto oversees will give you a true glimpse of what makes the Langhe such a fantastic part of Italy.

3500 N Elston Ave

(773) 654-1460

Chef/Owners Beverly Kim and Johnny Clark have been putting out creative Korean dishes for quite some time, but you have to travel to seek this hidden gem out in the western neighborhood of Avondale.  Trust us, it's worth it.  Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time before you make the trek, it is a busy restaurant!

Mi Tocaya Antojeria

2800 W Logan Blvd

(872) 315-3947

Mi Tocaya rethinks Mexican cuisine with a modern twist.  There is a nice mix of adventurous dishes, such as the peanut butter and lingua, or comfort dishes such as a steak burrito.  Diana Davila and her restaurant has been a wonderful addition to the Logan Square neighborhood.

Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits

Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits

2051 N California Ave

(773) 276-8888

As the name suggests, this is THE spot for homemade pie (savory and sweet) and biscuits. You can pre-order pies for pick up, or stop in for a cup of coffee and a slice of your favorite. The chicken pot pie and biscuit sandwiches are incredible too, so bring friends, make everyone order something different, and dig in!
