Our affection for Ramon Parera & Jordi Arnan at Celler Pardas is no secret, and we believe they are making some of the best, if not THE best still wines in all of Catalonia. These two are childhood friends who came together later in life to build the estate they now call Can Comas.

It is located in the Alt Penedès region of Catalunya, just a short distance southwest of Barcelona. Well-known for being the heart of Cava (Spain's sparkling wine) country, Celler Pardas does not make any sparkling wine, rather they focus on still wines produced from the local Xarel.lo and Sumoll varieties, as well as Cabernet Franc. In the vineyards, no chemicals are used on the vines and they leave the vineyards unplowed so nature can replenish the nutrients, not man.

More About Celler Pardas

Xarel.lo is the flagship grape variety of Pardas. Commonly used as part of a blend to produce Spain's sparkling wine Cava, Ramon and Jordi are making still wines with great age potential out of the white grape. They are small producers that are a shining example of going against the grain to make great still wines alongside the industrial Cava giants.

At Celler Pardas they produce authentic wine. They speak of a place, and most importantly they are unique and delicious.

To pick up your order, visit us at our Near North location. Due to our limited storage space, orders can only be held in the store for up to 30 days after purchase. If items are not picked up after 30 days, a $10 monthly item storage fee will be charged. Any orders of 2 cases or more will be charged per case.
