The wines focus on terroir, expressed through carefully grown old vines, and traditional winemaking to craft single vineyard-designate wines that are transparent, age-worthy reflections of grape, time, and place.
In working directly with farmers, Marcus finds a more meaningful connection to the earth, weather, and vines. They see, feel and taste an intimacy of place in their wines. Part and parcel of the family business is cultivating relationships, to the vines as much as to the people who drink the wines.
Marcus’s wines exhibit great restraint coupled with beautifully ripe fruit and are a true pleasure to drink. We feature Goodfellow Pinot Noir from Whistling Ridge Vineyard, Fir Crest, and Durant Vineyard, as well as an appearance of Chardonnay, also from Whistling Ridge and Durant Vineyard. Marcus also produces two other exceptional white wines, one of the best Pinot Gris in Oregon called "Clover," and the incredible value co-fermented blend called "Whistling Ridge Blanc."
We can't recommend these wines enough. This is one of Oregon's very best wineries. Please don't tell too many people about these wines as the prices are absurdly good values given their quality. Let's call it our secret?
