Via Revolucionaria "Pura Bonarda" '17

One of our missions here at Perman Wine is to introduce you to unique and interesting wines. While we love Pinot Noir and Gamay Noir, there is more to summertime red wine drinking than these two grape varieties.

Bonarda, and in particular, this ultra-delicious example from Matias Michelini in Argentina is the type of light-bodied, gluggable red we think you should try.

This Bonarda comes from the Manuel Pelegrina vineyard in Mendoza, Argentina. The vineyard was planted in 1972 and sits at 4,000 feet of elevation.

The wine is vinified by carbonic maceration with natural yeasts.

It leaps out of the glass with big aromas of cherry, raspberry and blueberry. The mouthfeel is soft with good freshness and bright flavors. Give it a slight chill, and pair with smoked brisket or ribs.
